Koffi slams Wizkid

 
‘Your song is senseless’
These are certainly not the best of times for the one and only Star Boy, Wizkid, as A-list comedian Koffi has joined the growing list of people criticiing him in the last few weeks.
Before Koffi’s harsh criticism last weekend, music producer Samklef and fellow singer Saeon had spoken so bitterly of Wiz’s treatment of them and their revelations that Wiz is ‘arrogant,’ according to them, really affected his image.

Now, just as it seems that the uproar generated by Samklef and Saeon is dying down, Koffi has come out to say that Wiz is singing nonsense. Koffi said this while he was the MC at the Miss Olokun 2014 beauty pageant which held last weekend in Lagos.


Trying to entertain the audience, Koffi cracked a joke about how Kcee came up with his popular song, Limpopo. The punchline of the joke was just that the song came about in a nonsensical manner.
While that was a joke, his statement that Wiz’s song, In My Bed, is senseless, was not, as he rubbished the song when the DJ of the night played it. Unfortunately for Wiz, the DJ played In My Bed just after Koffi cracked his Limpopo joke, and Koffi immediately pointed out to everyone that “this Wizkid song that the DJ is just playing is an example of what I’m saying.

How can you sing a song and say it’s In My Bed and you are mentioning Adenuga and other influential people in it?”
Wizkid is known to never take criticism lightly, so we are waiting to see how he’ll hit back at Koffi whom some might say is a bit envious of Wiz who is definitely the more successful of the duo, even if he sing ‘nonsense’ according to Koffi.
