Pastor Chris Oyakhilome’s Wife Files For Divorce Over Adultery

 
It was gathered that efforts to reconcile the couple who have two girls from their union, failed.
Reports from online news site, The Cable, have it that the marriage of Pastor Chris and Anita Oyakhilome has crashed as Anita has allegedly filed for divorce on the grounds of “unreasonable behaviour” and “adultery”.

The Cable reports that the divorce case with Suit No FD14D01650, was filed on April 9, 2014 at Divorce Section A, Central Family Court, First Avenue House, High Holborn, London, UK, on Anita’s behalf by Attwaters Jameson Hill Solicitors, a full-service law firm with expertise in commercial law and a strong consumer focus in family, wills and estate, personal injury law and medical negligence.
Pastor Mrs Oyakhilome reportedly listed several strong allegations against the founder and president of Believers Love World, which according to the news site could not be published for legal reasons.
It was gathered that efforts to reconcile the couple who have two girls, Sharon and Charlyn from their union, failed.
An elder of the church, says Pastor Chris has denied the allegations of adultery brought forward by his wife and believes she is being influenced by “bad friends” who are intent on destroying their home and wants to seize power and authority above her seniors in the ministry.
The Cable also reports that popular televangelist has been making all efforts to avoid a divorce in the hope that his wife will have a change of heart but now, has no choice but to receive the papers since he was cornered at his hotel room in London by Anita’s lawyers.
Pastor Anita initially wanted to go public with details of the allegations against her husband but has reached an informal agreement restraining her from doing so.
Pastor Chris and Anita Oyakhliome have been married for 22 years and are regarded as one of the most influential pastors in Nigeria and co-authors of the popular Christian devotional, Rhapsody of Realities.
The rumours of the couple’s divorce first emerged in May 2014, and the reports were quickly dismissed by the televangelist and elders of Christ Embassy as false and malicious.
