A Chinese blogger Qin Zhihui, 30,who was accused of spreading rumours
about the government and celebrities has become the first blogger to be
jailed since the government decided to crackdown on online bloggers .He
was slammed with a 3 year jail sentence for 'rumour mongering'.
According to China Post,they claim Qin & his 3 colleagues spread
false reports that a foreign victim of the 2011 train crash received a
£24million in compensation while denying equal payment to Chinese
families.
The post was reposted more than 11,000 times with over 3,000 comments all lashing out at the government
They also claim he sensationalized his headlines to drive traffic to websites.During his final judgement, he said
"I don't want to defend myself .I just want to say that I hope my experience is a lesson to other microbloggers."
I know so many celebs will wish this happened in Nigeria.

When fat-pride blogger Rachele Cateyes posted an online photo of herself
in a bright blue two-piece swimsuit last summer, it signified a major
moment of empowerment. “Wearing a bikini as a fat woman is an act of
rebellion,” she’d written on her Fat Babe Designs blog. “I felt glorious and glamorous all at the same time.”

feeling was short-lived, though. The Oregon woman later discovered that
her photo was popping up in a diet company’s Facebook spam ads — as the
dreaded “before” photo. Now she’s embroiled in a frustrating battle
with the company and its affiliates to try to get her stolen image
removed from the ads. “It made me feel exposed and not in control of my
own image,” Cateyes tells Yahoo Shine. “I’m used to negative attention
[online], but for somebody to make money off of me? That really
infuriated me.”
Whew! Yet another birthday and I don't even know where to start thanking God from..Is it my health, my family,my blog, my career? There's just a lot to thank him for..Without the gift of life,none of this would be possible...
Today being the 26th of February means alot to me, not just because its my birthday
but because this month reminds me of losing my beloved dad who meant
and still means the world to me...His birthday falls on this month..But
most importantly, exactly two years ago on the 12th of February 2011, I
had my first brush with death.I don't mean a minor brush..I mean death
looked me in the eye but God said ..Emeh Achanga, It isn't time yet ....
So my first diary in months is drawn from that real life
experience..As I said earlier..I write from my heart..Not good at
faking it and I know many of you have missed the writer side of me..It's
back!!!!
Also,I crave your indulgence to feel free to tell me where I'm going wrong and where you feel I need to improve or what to incorporate to make your visit to this blog a beautiful experience..
I can't thank you all for making this blog worthwhile,for encouraging
me ,,sending emails, correcting me ..I can't thank you enough for
dropping comments because you appreciate this blog and want it to
grow..This blog will be 3 years old on the 16th of August and I can't
start to count my blessings ..
