Dear LIB readers: Please can you interpret this dream for me?

From a male LIB reader

Dear Linda Ikeji blog readers. I’m a 29 old self employed man, I am not married and don’t have any children.

Every night for the past 10 years  and I mean every night, I have had the same dream. This dream takes me back to either my primary school, secondary school or the University,  where I’m usually in a class with my mates both the ones I heard died years back and the ones I haven’t seen since we all left the institutions.

[Advice Needed] She Is 5-Months Pregnant For Her Cousin

 pregnant-womansad_broken_girl
A lady wrote the piece below on behalf of her friend who is sleeping with her cousin and is now 5-months pregnant for him.
Dear readers,
I am writing this on behalf of a friend of mine who would probably kill me if she finds out. The thing is, I cannot keep it to myself, I am very confused and I want to be sure that I am not being judgmental.
My friend came to my house very excited a couple of months ago. When I asked her why, she told me that she was just coming back from an outing with her cousin. I wondered why she looked so flustered and excited and I asked. She told me that he was such a nice guy and blah blah blah. We joked over it and I told her to take it easy. I noticed that something was off when I jokingly asked her to hook me up with this Mr. nice cousin and she got angry. I apologised and she did same and that was that.
Forward to some weeks later, my friend confides in me that she mistakenly slept with Mr. nice cousin. I talked and talked and advised her and she cried and agreed that it was wrong and it won’t happen again. A few days later, she came back to tell me that they talked about it and agreed to stop but the chemistry between them was too strong and it happened again. Again, I talked and talked about inbreeding and its troubles, she agreed and left again. This trend happened again and again until I got tired of talking.
I recently found out that she is five months pregnant for him now and the worst part is that they are on their way to abort the baby. What advice would you have me give her, because I just got tired of talking? Any special help for such cases? Please, help me!!! It is urgent.

Dear LIB readers: I love my fiance but I hate his family

From a female LIB reader
I am engaged to a really nice man but I'm thinking of calling off the engagement because I hate his family. He's from one of the prominent rich families in Lagos and they are of the worst breed. They are controlling, they don't mind their business, they tell their children what to do, they make their decisions for them and their matriarch is the opinion of the family. Nobody dares question her decisions or argues with her. My fiance's sister told me I have to quit my job after I marry into their family. My future mother-in-law has summoned my father to her home on several occasions, asking him the most belittling questions. She even had their family doctor examine me, and the doctor asked me how many men I've been with in the past and if I've ever had an abortion. Duh! They question every thing you do, even the clothes you wear. I'm not yet married into this family and I'm already having panic attacks. I really love this guy but I don't think I can deal with his family. They plan to completely clip my wings once I marry their son and I don't think that's the life I want. Should I walk away or is there a way to handle such a family if I go ahead with the wedding? Please help me.

Dear LIB readers: My wife says no sex while her mother stays with us

From a male LIB reader
I’m happily married with two young kids ages 2 and 4. We stay in a 2-bedroom apartment and usually leave the connecting door ajar so that if the kids wake up during the night they may have access to our room to seek comfort, which is very frequent especially during these noisy thunder storms.
My problem started with the arrival of my mother-in-law, less than a week ago to spend 2 months. Of course, she sleeps with her grand kids in their room. This doesn’t stop them from frequenting our room during the night, so the door is still left ajar. Much to my amazement, my wife has now told me that she will no longer allow us to copulate during the time her mother is with us. She said her mum scolded her and feels we are rude to engage in lovemaking knowing fully well that she is in the adjoining room.
What? Lol.  Continue reading...

Dear LIB readers: Is it right for a married woman to publicly buy condoms?

From a female LIB reader
I'm a happily married woman with two lovely boys in my early thirties. My husband and I are recently planning to have another child and this time,we want to try the Pre-sex selection method and see if we can skew the odds to our advantage and get a baby girl. Not that we would mind if it wasn't a girl but we want to have our last child and try our luck in the process.

Jada tells Redbook Magazine;
''What is the thing that Will could do that would make me not love him? That would make me leave him? I can't think of one. I'm sorry. Except if he did something bad to the kids - now we've got a problem. But that's it. We've had such an extraordinary life together.
They've been together since 1995. 18 years and counting...Good for them!

The best place in the world to be a mother is...? Read to find out!

Finland is the best place in the world to be a mother, according to Save the Children's 14th Mothers' Index. The US, (where most Nigerians run to) is ranked 30th, while our beloved Nigeria is ranked 169...it's in the bottom 10. *sigh*

The index ranked countries according to 5 indicators of a mother's well-being: 1. Maternal health (the risk of maternal mortality); 2. Children's well-being (the mortality rate of children under five); 3. Educational status (number of years of formal schooling a woman receives); 4. Economic status (gross national income per capita); and 5. Political status (the participation of women in national government). See the top 10 and bottom 10 after the cut...

FOR THE LADIES: - Be Smart Keep Your Skills Sharp

UPDATE YOUR RESUME
To stay ahead of the game, your resume’  should be updated every single time you update your skills. You have learned a new style of design, type or mastered a new fabric, update your resume’. The woman that keeps her skills sharp also keeps her resume’ sharp. Stay ready so you won’t have to get ready. If it’s not enough to have your resume’ updated, your software on your computer, your cell phone (as well as many other things) should be up to date as well. You want to stay in tip top shape and you wouldn’t want your competitors to be ahead of you simply because they stayed up to date and you were too lazy or too comfortable to push the envelope a little.

Dear LIB readers: I cheated on my husband and I plan to continue

From a LIB reader
I have been the angry, unsatisfied and bitter wife for the last nine years. I'm married to a man who has absolutely no respect for the marriage institution. He has had more girlfriends than I have changed my hair since we got married. He started cheating on me months after our wedding in 2004 when I was pregnant. And it hasn't stopped ever since. Every other day a different girl, a different situation, a lot of drama. Initially he would lie or try to cover up when I ask him questions or catch him but now he tells me to go to hell and leave the marriage if I was no longer satisfied.

Rick Ross under fire for date rape lyric

Rick Ross is under fire for a rap lyric that glamorizes Molly use (popular recreational psychoactives, most commonly sold in the form of "ecstasy" tablets) and date rape...

Rick Ross featured on rapper Rocko's new single 'You Don't Even Know It', where he spits,
“Put molly all in her champagne/she aint even know it/I took her home and I enjoyed that/she aint even know it."
Guard your drinks around Rick Ross ladies, because he might rape you. He's giving you fair warning.
