After over 7 weeks since the disappearance of MH370, authorities have
officially called off all air search .To mark the official end of the
international search, all the men and women who took part in the search posed for farewell photos with their aircraft in Perth Australia.
They say an underwater search for the Boeing 777, will still continue for an indefinite amount of time.Prime Minister
Tony Abbott has conceded that if anything was left floating after the
aircraft had, as experts believe, come down in the ocean, it would by
now have become waterlogged and sunk.
Eight nations Australia, New Zealand, Britain, Malaysia, the US, Japan,
South Korea and China were involved in the search ,covering more than
two million square miles.It is the biggest search in Aviation history.
Despite all the reports of pings from the black box, not a single piece
of debris, stretch of oil, or a clue of any kind has been found to
pinpoint the location of the plane.
MH370 lost contact on March 8 with 239 passengers and crew.

Insurers have paid out £67million for the missing Malaysia Airlines jet
despite the mystery still surrounding the fate of the Boeing 777
airliner. Hardship payments have also been made to families affected by
the disappearance of flight MH370. This consisted of a payout for the
aircraft itself plus hardship payments to the families of the missing
passengers.Hardship payments are made to families who have to take time
off work or face other costs as a result of relatives going missing.
Standard policies assume that any aircraft that has not landed or
refuelled within 48 hours has been destroyed.AGCS, a specialist arm of
German insurer Allianz, said last week it was making initial payments on
the aircraft insurance policy
If it emerges that some or all of the 239 people on board have died,
there will be further payments for life insurance. International rules
specify that airlines are liable for payments of just over £105,000 per
passenger as a minimum – more if the airline is guilty of negligence. It
is understood that liability for the claims will be shared by as many
as 20 different insurers.
According to Mailonline,Malaysia Airlines is covered by a local insurer,
which passes on the vast bulk of the risk to Lloyd’s specialists and
others in the London insurance market and further afield.
A Chinese satellite searching for the missing Malaysia Airlines
Flight 370 airliner may have located the crash site at sea, according
to a Chinese government agency.
A Chinese satellite investigating the mysterious disappearance
of Malaysia Airlines Flight 370 has “observed a suspected crash area at
sea,” according to China’s State Administration for Science, Technology
and Industry for National Defense.
Since the Malaysian government is showing no headway in the search for
missing plane,a well-known Malaysian (shaman)/witch doctor Ibrahim Mat
Zin (centre) holding two coconuts performed a ritual using a fish hook and bamboo binoculars to 'locate' the missing plane.He said it's a "promising" way to bring something back.
Shaman Ibrahim Mat Zin performing his rites at Kuala Lumpur International Airport told Malaysian state news agency Bernama that his vision turned black and he believed the plane was either still in the air or had crashed in the sea.
