Mercy Aigbe has opened up on the major challenge faced by actors።..She told NigerianFilms "Nigerian journalists have not been fair to us (actors). It’s often very sad when you see untrue, dirty details about you in the papers. They rubbish our reputation in order to sell their paper and it’s heart breaking.Again, in the industry, you see people beefing you here and there. They feel jealous because you are relatively young in the industry and you are getting more roles than they who are veterans in the field. But what they don’t understand is that it is by the Grace of God. The Bible says that it is not the power of he that ‘runneth’ but in God that ‘showeth’ mercy. God even says in the bible that “I will show mercy on whom I will show mercy.”

 Recently it seems Boko Haram has changed their modus operandi and now use female suicide bombers. On Monday,two struck in Kano..Oby Ezekwesili  of #bringbackourgirls campaign raised an alarm on twitter that the Chibok girls may be the ones now carrying out suicide bombing..She wrote on twitter

“It feels like eternity since April 14 when our girls lost their freedom. How can we move on like that? This new trend and serial pattern of female suicide bombers surely should particularly worry us.

9 year old boy falls and dies in soakaway in Lagos

There was anger on Thursday morning on the Apata Street, Somolu area of Lagos after a nine-year-old child, identified as Riliwan, fell into a soakaway and died.Riliwan, a primary six pupil of a primary school in the area, was to attend his graduation ceremony that morning where he was billed to be given prizes for coming first in his class, when tragedy struck.

According to Punch,a resident said his parents, who were devout Muslims, had sent him to pour away a bowl of dirty water they had rinsed their hands in after eating Sahur (Ramadan pre-dawn meal), when he fell into the pit.The resident, who did not want his name mentioned, said,

Python swallows Antelope then spews out its dead body

The jaw dropping moment a giant Python swallowed a baby Antelope was captured on camera by animal rescuer Nitish Bambhaniya in the village of Billa in Gujarat, India.

"I got a call in the morning for an Indian rock python. When we reached the spot, we saw this massive python. The python had hunted a baby blue bull and had already eaten 80% of the bull's body. It is on the edge of an open field, so lots of locals start gathering there." Nitish said

As people gathered, with many saying the snake should be killed as it could be a danger to them, the snake known as the Indian Rock Python stopped swallowing the antelope & let go of its lifeless body

"Pythons do it so that they can shed body weight and escape faster. Meanwhile, we convinced the villagers not to kill the python and they agreed. Later we caught the python and handed it over to the forest department officials." Nitish said

A Christian man in Iran was sentenced to have his lips burnt with a cigarette for eating during the day in the Muslim holy month of Ramadan.

The shocking punishment  carried out in public  in the city of Kermanshah after he received 70 lashes alongside five other Muslim men for not fasting during Ramadan.The punishment was confirmed by the city's deputy governor Ali Ashraf Karami.The National Council of Resistance of Iran, denounced the treatment as 'savage' and called on western countries to take action.

Disturbing reports have it that an unidentified young woman from Ekiti was attacked by ritualists who proceeded to chop off her left breast.
The unfortunate incident was said to have occurred yesterday in Ado Ekiti, the state capital, and it was reported by one Steven Adedamola Goodwill on Facebook.
Details of the gruesome attack are not known and it has not yet been confirmed by the relevant officials in the state.

Armed robbers who dress up as women to rob, arrested & paraded in Ibadan

An armed robbery gang who specialize in dressing up as women and robbing unsuspecting victims have been arrested by the Oyo State police Command. They were paraded recently where they told their stories. Vanguard reports

An unsuspecting womanizer would easily fall into their traps seeing their feminine faces made-up with cosmetics, with weave-on hairdo that dangles on both sides of their broad shoulders.

Their coated lips look inviting. No doubt, countless men must have fallen prey to them. Many passersby who thronged the state headquarters of the Police command at Eleiyele, Ibadan to catch a glimpse of these attractive “women” could not hide their disbelief.

Though, their chests were flat which should convince doubting Thomases that the suspects were not women, some still insisted on seeing their private parts due to their looks.

But, behind these deceptive looks are more than meets the ordinary eye. The hearts of both Omooba Oyewole and Lawal Kabir are fortified with cold steel. They are suspected dare-devil robbers. If they have conscience, it must be made of solid concrete.

One of the suspects, Lawal Kabir whose eyelids blink momentarily like a doll in the old Kingsway Store claims to be a devout Muslim and considers only Fridays and the Ramadan period as sacred days in the whole year when he thinks he should not engage in armed robbery.
