pa Ayo Oritsejafor: The Spoilt Child of A Religious Nation

by Imoh David
The story goes like this: The Nigerian government wanted some cache of weapons in South Africa and so they borrowed Pastor Ayo Oritsejafor’s private jet. Probably because the self-acclaimed giant of Africa could not find a befitting aircraft amongst her fleets of military planes to transport the intended weapons for them, not even among the 10 private jets in Presidential fleet. It is Ayo Oritsejafor’s private jet that was the best. Maybe it is because his private jet runs on holy engines and is flown by angels.
Meanwhile, Ayo Oritsejafor did not know that the government intended to use his jet to buy weapons. He leased his jet to a 2nd person and the 2nd person leased to the 3rd and then the 3rd to the 4th (who happens to be an agent of the government and an Israeli with 10 million dollars).

I get it, the unknown Israeli man told our government that they should rather buy weapons from South-Africa instead of his country, Israel, because it is better for SA to take the money than Israel who supposedly makes better weapons. So generous of the Israeli. So Israelis buy weapons for us? Military experts from our country did not have to follow to inspect the weapons and the inventory. Beautiful!

President Goodluck Jonathan inaugurated the 24th World Economic Forum (WEF) on Africa in Abuja, FCT, on May 8, 2014, Thursday.
In his first words, he has commended the U.S.A., the U.K., France, China, other countries for offering assistance to Nigeria in the battle against terrorism, adding that the big number of participants of the forum proved that the insurgency will be stopped by joint efforts.
“Your coming here to support us morally is major blow on the terrorists and by God’s grace, we will conquer the terrorists.
“I believe that the kidnap of the girls will be the beginning and end of terrorism in Nigeria,” the president said.
Speaking on unemployment level Jonathan noted that almost all countries around the world are concerned about job creation. He noted that such developed European states as Spain and Portugal have the rate of unemployment at 20 percent. The situation on the African continent is similar. Nigeria is currently at about 24%, while South Africa at 25%. However, Jonathan boasted that the ongoing transformation agenda of his administration had focused on areas that would drive inclusive growth.
“Job creation must be what should occupy the time of every African leader, it is also one that keeps me awake at night,” he declared.
The President noted that the rebasing of the Nigerian economy, which had made the country’s economy largest in Africa, also opened opportunity to improve many sectors.
The sectors, he said, included agriculture, services and entertainment, among others, adding that the 2014 budget had been designed to create jobs.
It would be added that Nigeria is the first country to host the forum in West Africa. The event, tagged “Forging Inclusive Growth, Creating Jobs”, will last till May 9, 2014.

Why It Is Better For Obama To Keep Abacha's Loot Away From Jonathan

Dear President Obama, Please Don't Return Abacha's Loot To Jonathan, Abeg!
The United States has recently ordered a freeze on $458m in assets stolen by the former military ruler, Gen. Sani Abacha, and his accomplices.
The Federal Goverment was delighted with this development and seeks return of the loot. But do they deserve to get it back? And, if yes, then would this sum be allocated for the needs of Nigerians, or it would vaporize.

The Many ‘SINS’ Of Governor Sanusi Lamido 21 February, 2014

photo
A statement from the presidency, which announced his suspension, had accused Governor Sanusi Lamido of “financial recklessness and misconduct, which are inconsistent with the administration’s vision of a Central Bank propelled by the core values of focused economic management, prudence, transparency and financial discipline.”
The statement adds: “Being also deeply concerned about far-reaching irregularities under Mallam Sanusi’s watch, which have distracted the Central Bank away from the pursuit and achievement of its statutory mandate; and being determined to urgently reposition the Central Bank of Nigeria for greater efficiency, respect for due process and accountability, President Goodluck Jonathan has ordered the immediate suspension of Sanusi.”
Talking about the alleged financial recklessness, the first that readily comes to mind was the donation of   N100 million to the victims of Boko Haram attacks in Kano State in early 2012. Reports quoted Sanusi as saying that the donation was part of CBN’s contribution to the state government to alleviate the suffering of direct victims of the violence and their families.

President Jonathan asked CBN Governor Lamido Sanusi to resign?

That is according to a report by Thisday. Find it below...
President Goodluck Jonathan has asked the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) Governor, Sanusi Lamido Sanusi, to resign immediately on the grounds that the letter Sanusi wrote to him on the unremitted $49.8 billion oil revenue to the Federation Account, was leaked to former President Olusegun Obasanjo by the CBN governor.
But Sanusi who has denied leaking the letter to anyone, has refused to resign and informed the president during the heated telephone exchange that he could only be removed by two-thirds of the Senate as required by law.
