U.S Intelligence Says 276 Kidnapped School Girls Might Have Been Split Up By Boko Haram Insurgents

As Nigerians continue to expect the US Marines to arrive in the country to assist the Nigerian military operatives in the fight against terrorism, latest intelligence reports gathered by the US have added a new twist to the missing 276 school girls in Chibok, Borno State.
According to an article published by CNN today, the task of recovering the girls appeared to grow more complicated with news that U.S. intelligence believe the 276 girls might have been dispersed by the Boko Haram terror group.
"We do think they have been broken up into smaller groups," U.S. Navy Rear Adm. John Kirby, the Pentagon press secretary, was quoted in the report made public some minutes ago.
The American Navy man however, declined to reveal more detail on how U.S. officials came to the conclusion.

It could be recalled that this is not the first time that this sentiment has been echoed, as some other concerned people have said recently that the girls might already have been moved out of Nigeria into neighbouring countries.
"The search must be in Niger, Cameroon and Chad, to see if we can find information," former UK Prime Minister Gordon Brown, the U.N.'s special envoy for global education, told CNN few days ago.
"It's vital to use the information to find the girls before they are dispersed across Africa, which is a very real possibility."

First Lady of the United States of America, Michelle Obama, has joined the global campaign calling for the release of girls abducted more than 3 weeks ago in Chibok, Borno State.
Barack Obama's wife took to Twitter to express her shock over the Nigerian tragedy: 
"Our prayers are with the missing Nigerian girls and their families. It's time to bring back our girls."
The tweet of President's wife was signed "-mo," meaning she sent it herself.
Abduction of more than 230 girls carried on April 14 by Boko Haram sect members is not the issue of only national concern any more. 
World leading countries, including but not limited to USA, China, France, UK, offered strategic and military assistance in the rescue operation.
Nigerian and international celebrities condemned the outrageous act and joined the #BringBackOurGirls movement.

An Idaho man who admitted trying to assassinate President Barack Obama by shooting at the White House was on Monday sentenced to 25-years imprisonment.
Oscar Ortega-Hernandez, 23, appeared in federal court after pleading guilty in September to terrorism and weapons charges. He had been originally indicted on 17 criminal counts.
Prosecutors had charged Ortega-Hernandez with firing a Romanian-made assault rifle out of the window of his car the evening of 11 November, 2011.

President Obama has been looking a little more stylish lately (hello, Canadian tuxedo!), and now we know why: He’s taken an interest in shopping.
On Tuesday, POTUS made a stop at the Gap on East 42nd Street and Third Avenue in New York City, telling a sales associate he was on a mission for Michelle, Sasha and Malia. According to the pool report, Obama remarked, “I think the ladies will be impressed by my style sense,” (not realizing that Gap isn’t, y’know, Zara).
He also nixed a V-neck for one of his daughters, saying, “I’m worried the V-neck is going to slip.” (Nope, it won’t, POTUS.)
The excursion wasn’t just for kicks; according pool reports, a White House official stated: “In his State of the Union address, the President called for businesses to raise workers’ wages, and today the President will visit a Gap store to show his support for Gap Inc.’s decision to increase wages for their US based employees.”


He’s also showing support, apparently, for late-season knits, picking out a gray and white striped sweater and a bright coral one for his girls with the help of a saleswoman. He needed some assistance checking out, too. When he was told he could swipe his credit card himself directly in the card reader, he joked, “Oh, wow. So, you can sign the machine?” According to pool reports, he was just kidding: “They had these around the last time I shopped.”

According to People, the First Lady has a bit of advice for pop singer Justin Bieber’s parents. Bieber, who was recently arrested for a DUI in Miami, has been making headlines for his bad boy behavior. Lady Obama advises his parents to take action in the 19-year-old’s life.
“I would pull him close. You know, I don’t know if it would be advice as much as action,” Obama said during an interview with radio host Enrique Santos. “I would be very present in his life right now. And I would be probably with him a good chunk of the time, just there to talk, to figure out what’s going on in his head, to figure out who’s in his life and who’s not.”

A church in the US state of Virginia has taken the bizarre decision to allow its congregation to attend services in the nude.

Pastor Allen Parker, the leader of White Tail Chapel in the town of Southampton, said he came to the decision to allow naked worship after concluding the clothing requirements of other churches were overly 'pretentious', and decided his own flock should be free to forgo such materialism if they desire.

Speaking to CNN, Mr Parker said: '

When he [Jesus] was born he was naked, when he was crucified he was naked and when he arose he left his clothes in the tomb and he was naked.''If God made us that way, how can that be wrong?

Michelle Obama cites these shorts as her biggest fashion regret

When asked what her biggest fashion regret was during an interview with BET's "106 and Park" this week, US First Lady Michelle Obama said the shorts (pictured above) which she wore as she exited  Air Force One with her daughters during a family vacation in Arizona was her biggest fashion regret.

Mrs Obama said she regretted wearing it back in 2009 because of the backlash she received from people who felt it was inappropriate for a First Lady to dress like that.

She told BET,

"Because people were like, 'she's wearing shorts getting off of Air Force One. Sometimes I forget I'm the first lady and I'm running around in shorts."

US Government seize home belonging to Alamieyeseigha in Maryland

The US government has seized a Rockville home belonging to former Bayelsa governor, Diepreye Alamieyeseigha, the U.S. Department of Justice said in a news release last week Friday May 31.

Feds said they seized the home because the former governor bought the house using stolen state money. Alamieyeseigha was ordered to relinquish the $700,000 home on May 24, following an investigation by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement.

Michael Douglas denies remarks about oral sex causing his cancer

68 year old Hollywood actor, Michael Douglas has denied that he said his throat cancer was caused by oral sex. The actor's rep Allen Burry told the Associated Press that Michael was talking about the causes of the type of cancer he had, but not the cause of his cancer specifically.

Douglas was said to have made the remarks during an interview with The Guardian, who say they stand firmly by the quote, and that Michael was not misrepresented in any way.

The Guardian then published the audio of the interview, and the transcript of the comment. Below is the Q & A between Michael Douglas and The Guardian film writer, Xan Brooks.

Brooks: “Do you feel, in hindsight, that you overloaded your system? Overloaded your system with drugs, smoking, drink?”
